Fonepay Integrate CityPAY Wallet to Expand Nepal's Digital Payments

During an event held on September 2, 2025 at Alice Conference, Fonepay welcomed CityPAY as the tenth digital wallet to join its growing ecosystem. With this partnership, CityPAY users will now be able to make payments seamlessly through Fonepay’s nationwide QR network, available at over 1.7 million merchant outlets across the country.

Speaking about this partnership, Mr. Diwas Sapkota, CEO of Fonepay, shared his thoughts, “Welcoming CityPAY into our ecosystem is a landmark step in our journey. To mark the collaboration, CityPAY has also announced a festive campaign for its customers. Running from September 2 to November 2, 2025, the campaign offers participants a chance to win Samsung televisions through a lucky draw. Additionally, users will earn 20 reward points on every QR transaction above NPR 500. With CityPAY joining the network, Fonepay’s interoperable platform continues to expand, providing merchants and consumers across Nepal with more choices and greater convenience in digital payments.
