You don’t always notice when something becomes part of your life. It doesn’t arrive all at once. It builds quietly, becoming easier, faster, and more natural over time until one day, you rely on it without thinking.
That’s exactly how digital finance evolved in Nepal.
But this story is not about how Nepal became a success story for digitization and democratization of financial services in South Asia. Over 22 years of F1Soft, there was an entire generation that grew up alongside the transformations happening in the Nepali banking and finance sector. The *same* people that experienced the movement from physical plastic recharge cards (remember those?) to buying data packs using mobile banking, and from visiting ATMs to using QR codes, are now building what comes next.
F1Soft today has grown into a team of over 1300 professionals working across omni-channel and neo-baking, digital wallets, digital lending, payment processing, loyalty management, and so many more things around digital financial infrastructure. The systems they’re building and refining power 50+ financial institutions and impact tens of millions of users across the country.
Many of these exact individuals have lived through the transition they’re helping enable - from cash-heavy systems to a fully digital ecosystem. The same people who once carefully scratched recharge cards over local shop counter-tops and double/triple-checked their transactions asking “aayo dai?” are now part of the teams building systems that make these kinds of financial services effortless.
And that perspective matters. That kind of lived experience shapes how products are built, how problems are solved, and how users are understood.
The combination of values brought by this generation and the legacy and knowledge of the organization creates a unique workplace - one that values collaboration over hierarchy, learning as a constant, and innovation driven lived realities.
Over the past 22 years, F1Soft has helped build the foundation of Nepal's digital financial ecosystem, from mobile banking and digital wallets to payment networks and lending solutions. But beyond the systems and the scale, there is a shared story.
A generation that moved from carrying physical wallets to using digital ones is now helping shape what comes next.
